Volunteer!

The International Wildlife Museum is looking for intelligent, enthusiastic individuals who are interested in volunteer opportunities.  Currently, the museum is seeking Education Department Assistants and Special Event Help.  Please call 629-0100 ext 311 or ext 385 if you are interested in volunteering for either position. We do not currently have any opportunities for court-appointed community service hours.

  • Education Department Assistant:
As a volunteer in the museum’s education department, you will have the opportunity to do a variety of things based on your interests and our needs at the time you volunteer. Past volunteers have done everything from assisting with general administrative work to caring for our live reptiles and amphibians. Must be 15 years of age and willing to commit to 2 hours a week. We will train you on an as need basis.

  • Speical Event Help:
As a volunteer for special events, you will have the opportunity to engage our visitors in a fun museum experience. Assistance is needed prior to events for preparation and set-up (often decorating the museum), during the event running a station (such as the cake walk or bean-bag toss), and after the event with clean-up. Must be 15 years of age (or working with someone 18 years or older). We will train you on an as need basis.
