Current Temporary Exhibits:

Burning for Wildlife

How does fire affect wildlife? Can fires benefit wildlife? Want to know the story behind Smokey Bear? Visit IWM's newest temporary exhibit, "Burning for Wildlife" and find out the answers to these questions. If you can't visit the exhibit and would still like to read the information, click on the picture below. Starting November 1st, complete a Smokey Bear Scavenger Hunt in the exhibit, and win a Smokey Prize Pack!

For more information on wildfires, wildlife and Smokey Bear, visit these websites. There's even a Smokey Bear Teacher's Guide to help teach your kids about fire safety and the difference between good fires and wildfires.
