Field Trips:

Explore the fascinating world of natural history at the museum.  The museum offers a close-up look at over 400 insects, spiders, birds, and mammals (including prehistoric).  Travel from the equator to the poles learning about the unique relationships, adaptations, and habitats of the world’s diverse wildlife.

Choose a self-guided tour and explore the museum with a standards-based Discovery Safari Field Guide (grades K-2 or 3-5).  Enjoy the freedom of exploring at your own pace along with the ability to ensure your students are getting the educational experience you want them to get.  Or, choose a guided tour and allow a knowledgeable docent or museum educator to lead your group through the museum and share highlights of each exhibit area.

Group rates (for groups of 10 or more) are $2/child, $4.50/college student or senior citizen, and $5.50/adult.  One chaperone is admitted free for every ten children.  Guided tours are 50¢ more per person.  Reservations are required at least one week in advance to obtain group rates.  To make a reservation, click here or call 629-0100 ext 385.

For groups wishing to eat sack lunches during their visit, there is seating for 80 in the dining area.
