Coleman caught the 960 specimens in this collection between 1982 and 1988 in various locations in the Southwest, including New Mexico, California, Arizona and Texas. 95% of the specimens were identified as to genus and species, and have locality and date of collection information, making this a valuable research collection. The collection was donated in July of 2006 by Mr. James S. Coleman, the collector's son.
